Green Mate Tea, also known as Yerba Mate, is a traditional South American beverage made from the dried leaves of the Ilex paraguariensis plant. Unlike roasted yerba mate, green mate tea is processed with minimal oxidation, preserving its fresh, herbal taste and higher antioxidant content.

Preparation Methods:

Traditional Method (Gourd & Bombilla): Fill a mate gourd 2/3 full with dried green mate leaves. Pour warm water (60–70°C / 140–160°F) to avoid burning the leaves.
Tea Infusion (Teapot ): Use 1-2 teaspoons of green mate leaves per cup of hot water 80°C. Thehn steep for 3-5 minutes, then strain and enjoy.
Cold Brew (Tereré – Iced Mate): Steep mate leaves in cold water in fridge for overnight. Then add ice and citrus slices for a refreshing drink.
